mining machinery

In the production processes involving excavation, conveying, crushing and grinding of construction machinery, mining and cement equipment, most of the equipment and components suffer severe impact and abrasive wear. Coupled with harsh working conditions, such facilities and parts are heavily worn out, leading to frequent replacement of spare parts. This not only disrupts normal production but also raises production costs significantly.
With extensive global application experience, COREWIRE hardfacing su***cing technology can provide you with mature su***cing repair process solutions and suitable hardfacing welding materials. It can not only repair and regenerate frequently-consumed spare parts, but also greatly extend their service life.
Application in Excavators
Wear occurring during excavator operation is not limited to bucket edges, buckets, bucket teeth and grabs. Less obvious vulnerable parts such as tracks and tractor components are also prone to severe wear, incurring frequent replacement costs. Corewire su***cing welding materials are applicable to all wear-prone positions of excavators.
Excavators usually work in environments that cause rapid and severe component wear. During operation, their parts are subjected to strong impact forces from dense rocks. The equipment endures repeated intense impacts throughout digging, lifting, pushing and transferring operations. Similarly, soil, sand, broken stones and their mixtures cause severe abrasive wear on mechanical facilities. These two main types of primary and secondary wear lead to high wear rates and shortened service life of equipment.
Regrettably, most spare parts for such special-purpose equipment fail mainly due to dimensional changes caused by wear, and their replacement costs are quite high. Therefore, the service life of front-line excavation equipment exerts a vital influence on overall production costs.
Apart from exposed working components like buckets and bucket teeth that wear easily, many easily overlooked parts are also vulnerable to abrasion, including excavator chutes, drag chains, tracks, idlers, as well as hoppers and screens of screening equipment.
Corewire hardfacing materials can also be used for pre-protection of new components such as bucket teeth and bucket edges, forming an extremely durable su***ce layer and improving su***ce wear resistance. Meanwhile, Corewire products are ideal for repairing worn old parts, maximizing their recycling service life before new replacements are needed.
Application in Crushers
For crushing machinery, Corewire high-hardness hardfacing materials (65HRC and above) and work-hardening su***cing materials are the optimal choices for su***cing reinforcement on positions worn by heavy impact and high compression loads. Corewire carbon-manganese series alloys are ideal su***cing materials for such working scenarios.
Crushers operate in diverse yet extremely harsh working environments, which require their su***ces to feature outstanding wear resistance, strong impact resistance and excellent heavy-load compression resistance. Standard repair procedures adopt high-strength su***cing materials for crusher restoration and apply hardened layers on key vulnerable areas. The selected alloys shall possess excellent work-hardening capacity, crack resistance, impact resistance and wear resistance.
Take hammer crushers widely used in crushing plants and quarries as an example. Their hammers are generally made of austenitic manganese steel and bear extreme wear during service. When repairing hammer heads, it is necessary to adopt welding materials with compositions matching the base metal, and overlay two layers of Corewire chromium carbide alloy on heavily worn areas. This effectively inhibits hammer wear and realizes work-hardening reinforcement on austenitic steel substrates.
